Tarad Jwaid studied Mathematics at Aleppo University (Syria) but left the country. With a PhD in Mathematics, he now has a one-year contract at Ghent University. This evening, he will explain the use of mathematics in everyday life, its role in sciences and how all of this can be different in Syria and in Belgium.
